I totally forgot to post a pic of our newest members.. man having puppies and more than one has proven to be challenging and I find myself asking the question often “What was I thinking” haha … although it has gotten a lot better, it is still very challenging at times. This whole potty training thing is well..next level.
Enjoy this cute pic of when we first go them..

The crazy life we live..enjoy the ride! Blessings….
So it started out as a normal Saturday morning until my husband came inside with this little baby bunny. He wasn’t sure at first if it was indeed a bunny but after one look I assured him it was. “Well” he said “then you better come with me to see if there are anymore before I accidentally kill them all”. He had been doing some tractor work moving an old pile of hay bales and for whatever reason he said he hopped off of his tractor and then he heard a little squealing noise, that’s when he found this little guy. So my daughter and I grabbed gloves and followed him down there and began to pick through this giant pile of old hay bales. At first we didn’t see anymore, until I was moving some hay and there another one was…then another..then another until we found 5 baby bunnies. Their some of their eyes weren’t open yet, so we knew they were just fresh.
We gathered all of the babies and put them in a plastic bin with some of the hay they had been laying in and I called an animal rescue in the area that is for wild animals only. She advised me that the mom only comes twice a day to feed the babies and so go ahead and clean up that area and then dig them a little hole and place them back in that hole and cover with the hay. Place a ring of flour around it, so if the mom comes back it will mark her foot prints. I thought wow what a genius idea! We just needed to do it before dusk because that’s when they come back to feed. Early in the morning and at dusk, otherwise she said they are out doing bunny things.. haha I literally laughed out loud at that..bunny things hummmm ok 🙂
So at dusk, we went back to the original site where we found them and dug a hole. We placed a small tomato box in the hole and filled it with hay and placed all 5 babies in and covered them really well with more hay and then put a big thick ring of flour around the area. The next morning my daughter went to check on them. She said it was because if anything had happened to them she didn’t want me to be sad 😦 it was very sweet. To our great surprise they were all there!! The mom came and fed them and they seemed very content! They had literally grown overnight it, was so bizarre. They grow so fast!!! I watched a couple videos about these bunnies and when they are wild what do we do which was very helpful. We learned that bunnies are only in the nest for maybe a week! Can you believe that? When they say multiply like rabbits they aren’t joking!!
So everyday for the next week, we kept checking the bunnies and slowly but surely they left the nest! It was one of the coolest thing to experience. We got to hold them and love on them…what a blessing! What a great experience that we had getting to raise these little precious bunnies even if for only a week.
What’s one of the coolest experiences you’ve had recently with nature and what made it so epic?
Sometimes in the midst of chaos and a pandemic, you just need to get away for a little bit to regroup.
During this time away I’ve been thinking about several things. I’ve been thinking about some different things like who am I and what do I love to do. Although I haven’t discovered the answers to those questions, I am definitely taking some time to reflect and figure it out.
Although I don’t agree with all of these lockdowns and mandates, I do believe that God is in control and will always be in control, I just need to continually remind myself so I don’t loose my mind.
What are some things your working on right now to help you during this time?
I do! I love going to stores that have plants, I love buying plants, I love looking at them and touching them! I literally can not stop myself from buying them. In the summer, I love planting in all of my different planters and containers. I love shopping around for vintage items to plant in. It is so fun coming up with different ways and things to plant in. One place that I found has great plants for very affordable prices is Trader Joes! You can find all kinds of different plants there. Not too long ago, I purchased an Olive Tree.. not sure if its going to make it but I am sure giving it a go. The other thing Trader Joe’s has is amazing cut flowers! They’re a great price and you can get a variety of different kinds and make amazing bouquets.
Welcome to my newest adventure… I am not sure what I am doing but I am glad you are along for the ride.
I am a wife, a mother to 4 amazing talented kids and live on a small farm with lots of funny things that happen every day!
Why do this?
I thought it would be fun to share my crazy ideas and my life lessons
I love to rearrange things in my house and love a good deal when shopping. I love to hunt for awesome vintage pieces and hope to go travel around a bring stuff back (bucket list)
What I’ve been up to for the last couple years:
My daughter started baking when she was 7 years old now fast forward several years and at 23 she opened her first bakery. The day after it opened she turned 24! So I jumped into the crazy adventure with her and for the last 3 years we’ve done our 1st commercial build-out together (which was a lot of fun), and I helped her open her 1st successful bakery. Since opening she has opened another location in Lake Oswego, Oregon and her 3rd set to open in Scottsdale, AZ in a couple of months.
For the last month I have stepped back from working so much at the bakery so I can go back to being wife, mom and figure out who I want to be when I grow up. I am still working some for the bakery, running our wholesale and specials orders but I am excited for a new adventure.
One of my favorite things is to look at peoples decorating styles and try to duplicate it myself. I love looking in magazines and peoples social media and read what they are up to! I find it quite fascinating…
So that’s a little about me and I hope you enjoy our time together.. G
